Peace · Flow · Prepare for the inevitable reversal
小往大来，吉，亨。
泰象征天地交感、上下通畅。付出的小、收获的大（小往大来），吉祥通达，阴阳和合的鼎盛期。
初九 拔茅茹，以其汇，征吉。
九二 包荒，用冯河，不遐遗，朋亡，得尚于中行。
九三 无平不陂，无往不复。艰贞无咎，勿恤其孚，于食有福。
六四 翩翩，不富以其邻，不戒以其孚。
六五 帝乙归妹，以祉元吉。
上六 城复于隍，勿用师。自邑告命，贞吝。
小往大来，吉，亨。
What is small withdraws and what is great moves in — a fortunate turn, and things open up.
Initial Nine: Pull up one blade of grass and its whole tangled root system comes with it — people of shared purpose move as a single connected group. Setting out now brings good fortune.
Nine in the second: Making room for the rough and unrefined, having the nerve to wade straight across a river, keeping an eye on what's far off without dropping old ties close by — this is how the balanced middle way is actually kept.
Nine in the third: No flat ground stays flat forever; nothing that departs fails to circle back. Holding your integrity through the hard stretch draws no blame — don't waste energy resisting this truth, and there will still be enough at the table to be glad of.
Six in the fourth: Coming down light and unassuming, without flaunting any wealth, standing alongside one's neighbor openly, needing no warnings exchanged beforehand — trust runs that deep.
Six in the fifth: A ruler marries a daughter into a lesser house without regard for rank. From this comes real blessing and fortune at its fullest.
Six at the top: The rampart crumbles back down into the ditch it was dug from. This is no time to send out troops. Announce your orders only within your own city — pushing further than that here brings only embarrassment.
