元，亨，利，贞。至于八月有凶。
临象征居高临下、亲临一线。大通达、利于守正。然而到了八月（阳消阴长之时），情势可能逆转而生凶。
初九 咸临，贞吉。
九二 咸临，吉，无不利。
六三 甘临，无攸利。既忧之，无咎。
六四 至临，无咎。
六五 知临，大君之宜，吉。
上六 敦临，吉，无咎。

This approach carries real promise and rewards holding firm — but be warned: by the eighth month, the tide turns unfavorable.

Six in the fourth: Approaching with complete, wholehearted presence — no blame.
Six in the fifth: Approaching with wisdom, knowing what to delegate and what to hold — this is fitting conduct for a great leader. Good fortune.
