第63卦 · 水火既济

亨小，利贞。初吉终乱。
既济象征大功告成、各元素各得其位（水火相济、六爻皆当位有应）。小有通达、利于守正。开头极吉（初吉），但若失警惕，最终陷入混乱（终乱）——完美背后的极度熵增之象。
初九 曳其轮，濡其尾，无咎。
六二 妇丧其茀，勿逐，七日得。
九三 高宗伐鬼方，三年克之，小人勿用。
六四 繻有衣袽，终日戒。
九五 东邻杀牛，不如西邻之禴祭，实受其福。
上六 濡其首，厉。

亨小，利贞。初吉终乱。
Success here is modest, and holding firm is what sustains it. Things start well, but disorder creeps back in by the end.
Initial Nine: Dragging back on the wheels, letting the tail trail into the water — this restraint draws no fault.
Six in the second: A woman loses the ornamental screen from her carriage -- rather than chasing after it, she simply waits, and gets it back within seven days.
Nine in the third: It took the High Ancestor three full years of campaigning to finally subdue the Devil's Country -- a victory that costly is no place to be putting people of poor character in charge.
Six in the fourth: Keep old rags on hand even with your finest clothes, and stay watchful the entire day -- the leak always comes eventually.
Nine in the fifth: The neighbor in the east who slaughters an ox does not attain as much real happiness as the neighbor in the west with their small offering.
Six at the top: Letting the water rise all the way over your head now is genuinely dangerous.
